We are currently recruiting for the following:

Legal Officer (Immigration and Asylum Law)

We are looking for a qualified woman* solicitor or barrister with experience of immigration and asylum law to deliver our vital legal services for women.

The main focus of this role will be to deliver legal advice to vulnerable migrant women, who have experienced or are at risk of Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).

You will also be responsible for delivery of Rights of Women’s core services including providing legal advice on our telephone advice lines and via casework, delivering training and writing publications. You will also contribute to our policy work.

Salary: £33,573.93 Gross Pay per annum plus 3% pension contribution [Full-time rate] (The pro-rata amount for 1 Aug 2019-31 Mar 2020 = £22,382.62)

Conditions: 35 hours per week (5 days)

Holiday entitlement: 25 days annual leave per annum plus public holidays [pro rata to length of fixed term post]

Duration: Fixed term until 31 March 2020 with possibility of extension, subject to funding

Location: London
